The federal judge presiding over the Roger Clemens perjury case has declared a mistrial. Judge Reggie Walton made his decision after prosecutors exposed the jurors to evidence he ruled inadmissible. The government lawyers' blunder was a mistake Judge Walton said even "first-year law students" would have known to avoid.
He used to be bound for the Hall of Fame, but now seems more likely to go to prison. The seven-time Cy Young Award Winner, Roger Clemens was indicted on six counts by a federal grand jury yesterday, for allegedly lying to Congress, with statements like this, "let me be clear, I have never taken steroids or HGH."
Mark McGwire finally came out and admitted he took steroids while playing Major League Baseball. This comes after years of speculation and on the eve of his debut as the St. Louis Cardinals' hitting coach.
