You're Out! Baseball's Bad Week

Friday, May 08, 2009

It's a bad week for the biggest names in baseball. A-Rod returns to the struggling Yankees -- and while they could use his help on the field, they probably don't welcome all the controversy he brings. Meanwhile, Manny Ramirez has been suspended for 50 games by Major League Baseball for allegedly using hCG, a female fertility drug. Since it's unlikely that Manny's trying to get pregnant, it's hard not to suspect he was using performance enhancing drugs.

The Takeaway talks to Selena Roberts, a columnist for Sports Illustrated Columnist. She broke the original Rodriguez steroids scandal, and she has a new book out called, A-Rod, where she writes that Mr. Rodriguez not only has been using steroids as a New York Yankee, but had been using since high school.
