Bobby Thomson, the baseball legend who hit the winning shot for the New York Giants in the 1951 National League playoff series died on Monday night. He was 86.

The Giants defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers that year, but went on to lose that World Series. However, the famous catchphrase to describe the winning moment stuck around and is still often used to describe a moment of sports glory.
