They’re back: Massive homes, heavy on square footage and sometimes light on architectural style, are seeing a resurgence in certain Boston-area communities.

We interview writer Kris Frieswick about her forthcoming article in this Sunday’s Boston Globe Magazine: “The March of The McMansions.” Frieswick reports that, “in countless Boston suburbs, the green movement and even the recession have been unable to halt the practice of demolishing capes and ranches to make way for monster-size homes.”
