"Kindness is like music, art, sports or any other discipline -- it can only be mastered with practice, training, and lots and lots of encouragement."
I listened with interest to the wonderful segment on Wednesday morning 6/25/08 where Alyssa Wright spoke of developing and building maps of areas in which kind acts occur.( Hero Reports). This is very much in line with Partners in Kindness and A Tradition of Kindness, two free email sites that send out stories submitted by people about the kind acts that they do. It has expanded to offer other hlep such as jobs, etc. Here are the two sites.http://www.traditionofkindness.org/(Jewish)and http://www.partnersinkindness.org/(non-sectarian)
Perhaps in the future these stories could also be logged in geographically.
Partners in Kindness and A Tradition of Kindness is dedicated in memory of the late wife, Shoshana (Hayman) Greenbaum z"l of the site's founder, Shmuel Greenbaum. Shoshana was murdered by a suicide bomber. She was one of over 100 victims that were killed or injured at 2:00 P.M. on August 9, 2001 at the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem. Shoshana had the rare ability to serve as a role model for kindness and Godliness to thousands of people.
