Thursday, May 20, 2010

  • Washington Takeout: Washington correspondent¬†Todd Zwillich¬†joins us with the latest on the financial reform bill, which seems to be termporarily delayed on Capitol Hill.
  • Sports Takeout: Sports contributor Ibrahim Abdul-Matin recaps Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Playoffs. He also looks at yesterday's NBA draft lottery and who the lucky winner was.

Update from Washington: Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) voted "no" on a motion to end debate on Democrats' Wall St. regulation bill on Wednesday. Cantwell refused to go along because she has not gotten a vote on her amendment to rein in credit default swaps. Ever wonder what an amendment actually looks like when it circulates on the Senate floor? Here's Cantwell's amendment--chicken scratches and all--the one that could determine if Wall Street regulations pass the Senate in the next few days.
