'I Want My HGTV!': Cablevision vs Scripps Network

Wednesday, January 06, 2010

When Cablevision subscribers turned on their televisions on New Year's Day, they found that they had no Food Network or HGTV.  Viewers are not happy about this, and one called us to find out what she could do.  Brian Stelter, media reporter for The New York Times, tells us what's happening and where upset viewers jonesing for gardening tips and 30-minute-meals can direct their ire.

We should be able to have options, and not have only one cable company as our server. I want cable, but not from Cablevision. I have Cablevision in two homes and am looking for an alternative means of gaining phone, internet and television service.

I can't wait for Cablevision and Scripps to reach an agreement so that
I can enjoy HGTV and the FoodNetWork.
HGTV is a particular favorite of mine.

Someone needs to mention how both scripps and cablevision are acting like teenage girls talking "smack" and retaliating. I think its hilarious how two companies as such can act in this manner and still be considered reputable. SERIOUSLY?!
