Eliot Spitzer on Bear Stearns Acquittals

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

A Brooklyn jury acquitted two former Bear Stearns executives Tuesday. The two men had been charged with lying to investors. To give us the low-down on all of this is a man accustomed to suing Wall Street titans, former New York attorney general (and former governor) Eliot Spitzer.

MK Ultra

But yet, Martha Stewart spent 3 months in the can for allegedly lying to a government bureacrat and, unlike these bastards, causing absolutely positively no harm to anyone. Amerikans!

Eliot Spitzer; "Former Attorney General and Governor of the State of New York," and, of course, "Client 9."
It's a pity, that The Takeaway's penchant for the quick soundbite and liberal orthodoxy prevented a 90-minute discussion with Spitzer about the collapse and failure of so many of his high-media-exposure prosecutions against Dick Grasso, Hank Greenberg and too many others to name.

Why would you put Eliot Spitzer on as a talking head?

Honestly, I did not even listen to the content, knowing his penchant for lying and deception in his personal-life, Trooper-Gate, et. al.

And as for his time as Attorney General of NYS, no fair and balanced story would mention that many people thought he was far too aggressive in pursuit of marginal business/Wall Street prosecutions (and concomitant headlines).

So, while I'm a dedicated fan of an otherwise consistently great program, you slipped on this issue.

Think again when you select an admitted criminal as your spokesperson for the pursuit of justice.
