As Congress contemplates another potential conflict in the Middle East, the next few days will be a moment for you to hear from your elected representatives.
Former Presidential Candidate and U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) spoke with Takeaway Washington Correspondent Todd Zwillich.
"Do we want to sit by and watch this massacre take place?" Sen. McCain asked. "Right now Bashar al-Assad is winning—we need the Free Syrian Army to win," he added.
Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) joins The Takeaway to discuss his perspective on potential U.S. involvement in Syria.
Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) also weighs in on the Syrian conflict, and calls for an international response to the country's civil war.
"I personally don't see the connection with it being a direct threat to the United States of America," Rangel says. "But I do see them being a threat to civilization at large, especially the countries in the region. That is why there's no question in my mind that this is an international problem and it calls for an international solution."
If you've got a question let us know, we'll do our best to get an answer this week from your Congressional representative.
