Deduction Reductions

Now that we've made it to the 15th, we're looking ahead to next year's tax day. We have some news you might not want to hear.

When you file your 2013 taxes, some of the deductions you were able to take this year might be significantly smaller. The White House's new budget proposal gets tough on tax, curbing things like the home mortgage interest deduction and the deduction for state and local taxes. It also limits the charitable giving deduction. a change our next guest says ... will cost American charities dearly. 

Howard Husock says this change will cost American charities dearly. He is the Director of the Manhattan Institute's Social Entrepreneurship Initiative and writes a column for Forbes called Philanthropy and Society.
