Post-Irene: A rainbow across the fishing pier that survived the storm in Ocean Grove, N.J. Post-Irene: A rainbow across the fishing pier that survived the storm in Ocean Grove, N.J. (Elizabeth Culp)

We heard about kisses at sunset, perfect still nights of sledding under the moon, and, most of all, the awe-inspiring act of childbirth. Those stories inspired other more listeners to chime in. We've rounded up some of our favorites — tales of double-rainbows, starry skies, sailing under the moon, and even modern art.
