The Future of the Brain

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

What our brains hold and what they do is something we’ve been exploring, but what will they do in the future? If Ray Kurzweil has his way, our brains will be alive to see it.

Ray Kurzweil is a technologist and futurist who is on a mission to make us all immortal. According to Kurzweil, technology is progressing at a faster and faster rate so that in 10 or 15 years cancer may not exist and aging may be reversible. His newest book is called “How to Create a Mind: The Secret of Human Thought Revealed.”

The struggle in the future will be between Neurologists who want us all to know more about the brain and ourselves and Neurologists who want us to learn how to shut off the brain. It will be an interesting war...

Also, one day soon we will all wear mood rings which connects to a computer that will give us accurate readings of our brain and help us understand what we are really thinking, because we wouldn't know otherwise.
