Wade Michael Page and the Retracted Government Report

Wednesday, August 08, 2012

In 2009, conservatives in Congress strongly objected to a Department of Homeland Security report titled “Rightwing Extremism,” which speculated that the recession and the election of a black president could increase the threat from white supremacists.

The report was criticized by conservatives: John Boehner said the Department was using the term terrorist “to describe American citizens who disagree with the direction Washington Democrats are taking our nation.” Janet Napolitano of the DHS eventually apologized to veterans for the wording of the report.

On Sunday morning, a known member of the Neo-Nazis, a white supremacist organization, walked into a Sikh temple in Wisconsin and opened fire on innocent worshipers. His name was Wade Michael Page. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

According to our guest Daryl Johnson, a former lead domestic terrorism analyst at the Department of Homeland Security and the primary author of the rescinded report, has said that the number of analysts assigned to track non-Islamic militancy had been reduced sharply.

Do you believe the shooting could have been prevented by this report and other protective measures? Leave us your thoughts in the comments space below.

It what way is a Socialist connected to the Right Wing? How can anyone with an ounce of common sense connect this Leftist Socialist with either the Tea Party, Ron Paul supporters, the Militia movement or the US Military. (Yes, I know he was in the Army, but the Army through him out as unfit. As all Lefty Socialists are unfit for a Free Society.) This man is closer to Nancy Pelosi than anyone in the Tea Party or any Paul supporters. So how could that bilious rag of a Report from the screaming man hater Napolitano and her goonesses have aided in stopping this fiend from murder.

"What we may know". Really, what we MAY know about ONE incident vindicates an absurd report from three years ago.

They should have cracked down on those despicable nazi skins a long time ago. They're not even what I'd consider human -- I should know from my own run-ins with such scum. They should start by investigating Chris Gawlick aka "Adolph Zeigler" of pathetic hate rock band No Alibi.

Here's another tragedy that more careful attention to the 2009 Department of Homeland Security report titled “Rightwing Extremism” could have prevented http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2012/08/06/7-people-shot-following-detroit-princess-cruise/ . The "shooter" while not necessarily a "Rightwing extramist former member of the United States armed forces", might have been proactively detected through her contacts with that population of deadly haters, either when she obtained her high capacity (+6 bullets) magazine or when she randomly socialized with such child killers.
I rest our case.
