Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain responded to multiple allegations of sexual harassment at a press conference in Phoenix on Tuesday. "These anonymous allegations are false and now the Democrat machine has brought forth a troubled woman to make accusations," Cain said. "Many of which exceed common sense, and they certainly exceed the standards of decency in America." He made this statement same day that Karen Kraushaar's decades old sexual harassment claim against the Republican front runner was made public.

Todd Zwillich, The Takeaway Washington correspondent, and Ron Christie, Republican political strategist, CEO of Christie Strategies, and former special assistant to President George W. Bush, look at the latest chapter in the ongoing scandal.

Thank you Charles for the correction. Should not have jumbled those names. Regret the error. tz

Todd:

It is "Sharon Bialek."

And "Karen Kraushaar."

It was hard to tell who you were talking about most of the time with "Karen Bialek."

Re: Herman Cain-the news report that Cain "said he would take a lie detector exam" is not exactly accurate. When you listen to his response it was clear that his "yes" came with a big, conditional "IF" which makes it unlikely to happen. Listen to his answer again and put it in context

A pet peeve- Can someone please clarify:
Every time the word harassment is said on the radio by Todd, I cringe. Why does he say hARassment as opposed to harASsment?
Isn't the emphasis supposed to be on the second part of the word (as in harAss and not hArass?)
Can someone clarify the correct way to pronounce this word?

(My apologies for the pettiness of this question- but it's driving me crazy)

Thanks!

Conservatives at a time of profound economic crisis are as obsessed with these decade old and very well timed allegations in the media against Cain as the media is obsessed with assaults and abuse by protesters happening at Occupy demonstrations for the last several weeks against several people.
