The Congressional "super committee" charged with tackling the country's debt held its first public hearing in more than a month. With less than a month before the deadline for the panel's final report, Democratic members of the committee outlined their plan on Wednesday, which they say will cut $3 trillion from the country's debt. The plan is strikingly similar to the "grand bargain" nearly reached by President Obama and Speaker John Boehner over the summer.

Takeaway Washington correspondent Todd Zwillich was at the hearing, and reports on the Democrats' plan.

Name calling the OWS as a 'motley crew' is a sure sign that the message is scaring them. The entire rant from "listener" is really nothing BUT name calling. HINT: SHOW the reader, don't TELL the reader

According to listener (below), the people are "revoluting". Only the grassroots representation (tea party) for America's most wealthiest should be allowed to speak. Everyone else is a peasant and should be quiet. Listener's comments give me the impression that his words are coming from a bald man sitting in a wheelchair while stroking a fluffy cat. [shudder]

Some starry-eyed, hand-wringing journalists should realize OWS is just not that into you. They are a motley crew of rioting extremists, degenerates and trouble makers and not worth the dignity and encouragement some are desperately trying to bestow on them by the same people who trashed the law abiding Tea Party.

The "super committee" was a political joke from the start born our of the debt ceiling crisis that was wholly manufactured by the Democrat leadership for pure political reasons since it could have been raised last year but they needed to share their mess with the Republicans.

Oh, what a tangled web the "porgressive" media is weaving by building a house of cards with a fraudulent political narrative based on lies and dissembling.
