Tracking Health Care Reform from Tea Parties to the Health Care Lobby

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

The battle over health care reform has come to define the beginning of Barack Obama's presidency, and some say he has bet his future on passing the bill. This week we may finally see the last chapter in the year long battle as House Democrats are counting their supporters for a potential vote on Saturday. It's been a long journey and as we wait for the big day, we're taking a look back at the turning points that got us here.

We speak with Michael Kirk, a producer for our partner WGBH's "Frontline." He's working on the forthcoming documentary “Obama’s Deal,” which investigates the process of passing health care reform.  The documentary is scheduled to air on PBS stations on April 13.

Ed, there is no God, and if there was, he couldn't vote in the USA, because he would be a cosmic citizen or whatever.

By the way, taxpayer dollars are used to kill thousands of babies, born and unborn, every year, by our military--we call them collateral damage. Mostly in foreign countries, most of them not white people. How come you religious people don't protest that?

Ed, how could someone in direct touch with God be so misinformed?

And God is against it because it establishes and funds abortion and will lead to the killing of 2-300,000 more human beings each year.
Look what happened to Haiti: if we establish abortion even more, we will suffer another disaster, which we have every time we've moved in the pro-abortion direction.

Right now they don't have the votes.

When the House passed the bill, there was the Fort Hood shooting. When the Senate passed it, D.C. got two feet of snow. When they were ready to go forward again, D.C. got three more feet of snow and Scott Brown was elected. When they were just about to pass it this last week the Northeast got the worst rain storm since 1985, knocking out power. Is anyone paying attention to God's vote on this bill?
