Vancouver's Olympic Debut

The confetti that papered the streets of New Orleans after the Super Bowl has been swept away and most of the fans from out of town have headed home. Now America’s obsession with a big sporting event is shifting to Vancouver.

American reporters, Olympic athletes and fans have started to trickle into the city. We get a sense of how Vancouver is preparing and how the residents are feeling before the onslaught of visitors descends on their home town.

We hear from Rebecca Bollwitt, who writes the blog, Miss 604, and Ian Austen, Canada correspondent for The New York Times.
