Russell Simmons on How You Can Get Rich

Russell Simmons made his name as one of the most influential names in hip-hop by helping to found Def Jam Records in the 2980s. But he's also a the author of a successful self-help book that Oprah Winfrey helped become a bestseller. Simmons tells us why he's trying to help people get rich.

Simmons is has a new book called "Super Rich: A Guide to Having It All" and stars in a new TV show called "Running Russell Simmons."

Thank you JH for politely calling Mr. Simmons out on his hypocrisy. He has made a lot of money promoting a lifestyle that is devastating the African American community (or at the very least documenting our devastation) and then has the nerve to make more money - his books - rejecting that lifestyle. If his ass can only sit on one seat at a time, perhaps he should sell some of his seats to help all the young black men who are using hip hop as the soundtrack for their rehearsal for life in the penitentiary.
