I usually stay home/work for over-time on most 3-day weekends. But this one was the exception and exceptional. Drove 2 hrs. to a beautiful area of the Puget Sound and spent the weekend in the sunshine w/The Darling Daughters and their loved ones. Worth every penny of the $4.02/gal. gas!

How have my travel plans changed THIS weekend? Not much. I pretty much kept the same plan for the whole weekend. On Friday, I tried driving slower than I did in previous years. Same today, at the end of the weekend.

As Andy Rooney said last night, our buddies killed in WWII or any of our wars did not "give up their lives". Their lives were taken from them. On this Memorial Day not only should we remember them, but we should spend al least a few moments today vowing to rededicate our personal actions in the coming days to the cause of peace and understanding in the world.
