Your Take: American Values

Friday, December 10, 2010

"Values" can be anything from a political soundbite to a religious belief. As we prepare for our series next week about the meaning of American values, we've already gotten some responses, and we're still looking for more. Our question to you: What do you consider to be "American values?"

Paul from Queens says:

What American values mean to me. I take great comfort in know in that I can disagree with my government without winding up in a rotisserie.

Gary from Michigan had this response:

I think some of the main American Values I've been seeing have been at the least that we are all individuals, and the government should stay the heck out of the way unless of course we need something, and then we want the government to take care of ALL of our needs, and baby us and provide whatever we need, all with low taxes and no deficit.
