Author of "Wisdom: From Philosophy to Neuroscience"
Researchers at the University of Michigan looked at whether people really get wiser with age. We'll be talking about whether you think this holds true in your life and we want your input. Do you think you're wiser now than you were when you were young? And what is wisdom anyway?
Science journalist Stephen Hall opens his book, "Wisdom," with a recounting of the personal decisions he made on 9/11, what led him to research the concept of wisdom, and how its (many, varied) definitions interact with decision making and the choices we make as we do things: As Hall puts it, "to separate wisdom from action is a form of malpractice in the conduct of one’s life."
