Howard Parnell
Howard Parnell is Executive Director for Digital Media for WNYC and The Takeaway. He is a former Editor and Managing Editor for washingtonpost.com and has held editorial leadership positions for a variety of other online news and information sites dating back to the pre-browser days. Prior to that, he spent several years in the newspaper business, working stints as an editor, reporter, photographer, darkroom tech and truck driver.

I would like to point out that there is a world of difference between graphic design and art direction for print vs. stage design and art direction for film and tv. Not to take anything away from Mr. Heller, who is an extremely accomplished graphic designer and, I'm sure, capable of making judgments about many forms of design, however, it would have been more informative to have the opinion of someone whose expertise lies in the arena of stage and production design."
