The Luby's Massacre Victim who was on the program advocating for guns asked the interviewer to name one mass shooting that occurred in a location where there were a lot of people carrying guns. I immediately thought of TWO such situations: (1) The Ft. Hood army base shootings, where the army psychiatrist was the shooter; plenty of armed people on an army base, but a dozen people were still killed and a couple dozen more injured; and, (2) The Lakewood, WA, murder of four armed, body armor-wearing police officers in a coffee shop; only one of those officers was able to get a few return shots off before he died.
