As the Democratic candidates leave North Carolina and Indiana and head into the final leg of the primary season, we're asking you to create new slogans for the Clinton and Obama campaigns. Post your slogan to our Web site by clicking "get in the mix," email it to mytake@thetakeaway.org, or leave it on our SpinVox line, 1-877-8-MY-TAKE. John and Adaora will read or play back the best of them on the air.

Clinton:
Vote Clinton - because Boomers haven't finished screwing up the United States yet.

Clinton, whose earlier slogan was a gibe at Obama's, ought to consider "Then again, maybe I won't."

I just heard your interview with Bernard Avishai author of The Hebrew Republic. The very negative tone of the interview in terms of describing Israel and its policies is very much in line with NPR'S very unsatisfactory and hyper-critical coverage of israel in general. I keep hoping to be pleasantly surprised by an NPR program which takes a fair approach to Israel -- but so far have been consistently disappointed. Based on what I heard this morning, I am going to have to continue to wait to hear a positive, upbeat and accurate discussion of Israel. There are lots of guests you could have on to accomplish this. Why not try? To answer your own question, notwithstanding all of the problems, the 60th anniversary of Israel is a very joyous time, and we all hope and pray for peace in Israel and the entire Middle East in the future.

Hil would gain more delegate numbers if she'd
just speak the truth with a candid slogan:
"I'm Your Bitch"

Oh, great guys. Nice invitation for people to sink to their worst, to wit: Posts #2,3,5,6 and 7. This is a great recipe for Democratic unity.

There are plenty of reasons why Appalachia is different from the rest of America. The people of Appalachia have been left out of the forward march enjoyed by the Coastal, SW, and SE regions of much of this country during the last 30 years, and are way out of the national discourse. All demographers say we are fragmenting as a nation. Read Richard Florida, Tom Shachtman, Allan Bloom, Alfred D. Chandler and James W. Cortada to learn about why this kind of thing is happening, and to provide much higher quality commentary on this topic. It is like the metaphorical distance between Western Urban Turkey, and Mountainous Monolithic Eastern Turkey.
