I appreciate your interest in doing something other than a standard movie review, but the discussion this morning of artsy vs escape didn't tell me anything I couldn't figure out from looking at movie posters....had anyone involved in the discussion seen any of these movies?

LOVE love love the movie mash-up...refreshing cross-genre wake-up

Terrible segment. Sorry. I'm trying to give the show a real chance, but this kind of thing-- ugh. Just the use of the word 'artsy' makes the hair on my neck stand on end-- especially when based on zero knowledge of the film (or whatever is being described). This quality of discourse reminds me of 'Satellite Sisters'.

This show is almost like a liberal, urban hipster version of Fox News. Who can deal with all of that ridiculous music, the gratuitous sound effects, and the outright obnoxious banter?

I've expressed my frustrations to WNYC, which is basically loosing a listener in the mornings, and thus, later in the day as well. In suburban NJ, I only receive the FM station. Therefore, I am without NPR (unless in front of my computer) for all of my breakfast/morning routine.

Please let your pubic radio station know directly if you are unhappy with this program!

Please stop this "movie trailer mash-up." It's an insult to the intelligent, in-depth, humorous, well-rounded and often insightful/profound reviews currently offered on NPR (Morning Edition & All Things Considered). Let your hosts banter freely about something they obvioulsy care more about: sports. Trying to pigeonhole films into "two categories" is simply offensive to those of us who enjoy ALL movies, regardless of their genre and/or purpose.
