Hurricane Katrina evacuee Vincent Wilson feels stranded in Houston

Three years after leaving his home in New Orleans, Vincent Wilson wants to go back. The destruction of Hurricane Katrina had left his house in ruins and Wilson does not have the means to rebuild.

For the past three summers "The Beloved Community" project offered Katrina displaced children living in trailer camps in Baton Rouge respite. Dr. Gwen Ames authored and executed the project that partners with the school system to encourage school attendance during the school year and host summer camp for these children in Montclair, NJ. The project is through St. Paul Baptist Church, 1119 elm st, Montclair, NJ . Senior Pastor Rev. Cox
