There was not much interest regarding weapons tracking and straw purchases from the Democrats during the Fast & Furious scandal and no sense of irony from the media that the AG held in contempt of Congress over it will be leading this tracking effort. This time not of foreign drug cartels but of US citizens.
Apparently all of that information goes unmentioned and hidden in the professional news media filter and unfit for the public to be reminded of by journalists.
BTW - if someone wants to exercise their Second Amendment right to own a firearm and doesn't have an ID then is that a violation of their civil rights like needing an ID to vote?
