It might sound like a dubious child trafficking exchange. If you ask certain people, they’ll say it is. But in fact, this is the world of modeling —specifically, model recruiting in poor parts of Russia — for clients in Japan, Europe and the United States.
A new documentary called "Girl Model" looks at this world through the eyes of a 13-year-old Russian girl named Nadya.
David Redmon is the film’s co-director. "Girl Model" is in theaters now in select cities.
