In just four weeks, voters will decide between two very different presidential candidates. An exhaustive new FRONTLINE documentary, produced by our partner WGBH in Boston, profiles the personal and political lives of the two men vying for the presidency: Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. The Choice 2012 airs on PBS on Tuesday October 9 and is the latest in a series of biographies about U.S. presidential candidates, produced by FRONTLINE since 1988.
The Takeaway talks with producer Michael Kirk about his extensive efforts to shed new light on the histories of the incumbent and his challenger in the presidential race of 2012.

Michael Kirk presents both Candidates as losers who win. I thought of Raging Bull while listening to him discuss these two men. I wasn't interested in watching anything else about either candidate till now.
