After a strong victory in Puerto Rico's primary race last week, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is hoping to repeat his success with a win in the Illinois primary. Romney and a Super PAC backing him have spent more than $3 million in Illinois. At stake are 54 delegates — and the chance to reclaim momentum. Although polling in Illinois has consistently shown Romney in the lead, Santorum's victories in neighboring Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri suggest he has built support in the region.

Great to hear Jim Warren's smart, informative commentary. He reports on the primary without turning it into a horse race whose ending is already in sight. Warren shows us that there's more to care about here than the simple outcome. He is one of the very few to give us information about the voters throughout the state, in a way that helps us begin to think about the way this election will add to our knowledge about the voters in the nation.
Jim Warren mentioned the "tae kwon do" moms. I would offer up the much more appropriate "Kickboxing moms". Here in NJ Kickboxing has exploded among the PTA moms and even working moms. But the classes are often full to over flowing. That is where you'll find your one time "soccer moms"
