Washington Mutual, or WaMu as it was popularly known, once marketed itself as the bank of the little guy. But WaMu is no longer that bank around the corner. The 2008 financial crisis hastened its demise, and a Delaware judge approved WaMu's bankruptcy plan last February.
Wall Street Journal Reporter Kirsten Grind followed the WaMu story from the beginning. She chronicles the bank's rise and fall in her new book, "The Lost Bank."
