The Agenda: Greece's Elections, Obama's Gaffe, and the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate

This week, the economy will be reacting to the Greek elections next Sunday and last Saturday's euro zone agreement to bail out Spain’s banks. The political discussion about Obama's gaffe on Friday (“The private sector is doing fine,” he said.) will likely continue. The Romney campaign has seized on this statement to paint the president as out of touch with the realities of the economy.

Charlie Herman is the business and economics editor at WNYC, and Molly Ball covers politics for The Atlantic. Ball's just returned from Chicago where she attended the Conservative Political Action Conference, and she has a piece on The Atlantic today about the Vice Presidential candidate straw poll that happened there.
