When it comes to presidential politics, Ohio is probably the best indicator we've ever had. Since 1904, the candidate who won Ohio has gone on to win the Presidency all but two times. So unless your initials are JFK or FDR, you had better find a way to win it. (Note to Republican candidates: The last guy to lose Ohio but win the White House was Abraham Lincoln — so it's not much easier.)
So what makes the Buckeye State swing? Anna Sale, politics reporter for It's a Free Country, has been living a political junkie's dream: taking a road trip through all of America's swing states. This week she's in Ohio, and has been talking to supporters of both candidates — who are often sitting at the same table.
