Authorities have identified the suspect in last night's shooting at a crowded movie theater in suburban Denver. They say he's James Holmes, a 24-year-old American. He's in police custody. Authorities now say 12 people were killed and almost 40 more hurt at the midnight opening of the new Batman movie. Some are being treated for gunshots, shrapnel and chemical exposure. Police say Holmes opened fire in a theater during a showing of the latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises."
Robyn Honsey is an Aurora resident who lives near the theater. Rachel Fedeli was watching a movie in the theater next door when the shooting started.
