The Takeaway covers breaking news from Syria's capital, where a short time ago the rebels struck a blow at the heart of the Assad regime. A large blast hit the National Security building in Damascus this morning during a meeting of cabinet ministers and senior security officials. Among those killed were Syria's defense ministerĀ and President Assad's brother-in-law. The fighting on Assad's doorstep stretches into a fourth day.
