By long-standing tradition, some topics for the President are off limits in press conferences and interviews. Obviously, some aspects of national security fall into this category. But last night President Obama strayed into territory few thought he'd risk talking about in public, the use of unmanned drones. The President was taking part in a an hour-long video "hangout" on Google's social network when he starting laying out a detailed defense of America's drone policy.

Your guest said that anti-American sentiments in Pakistan "border on the irrational." This remark really surprised me. If Pakistan was regularly flying robots over our land which fired missiles and killed women and children, then would he think anti-Pakistani sentiments in America would "border on the irrational?" We need to face the unfortunate facts here: Obama is launching counterproductive and inhumane drone strikes and the entire program is shrouded in secrecy. This must end.
