On Friday, President Obama nominated Democratic Senator John Kerry to be the next secretary of state. Kerry, who has served five terms in Congress and currently chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has also been a frequent adviser to Obama.
It is expected that John Kerry’s nomination will be easily confirmed.

Being able to do the job was not enough for the late Robert Bork. Doesn't calling Assad a "reformer" put Kerry's judgement in question along with his other public statements in the past from 1971 onward? Good thing being rich is suddenly not an issue anymore.
