The United States and Israel are withdrawing contributions to UNESCO, the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, after the body voted accepted Palestine as the 195th full member on Monday. The U.S. contributes 22 percent of UNESCO's budget, and Israel provides another three percent. UNESCO's full membership voted 107 to 14 to accept Palestine, with 52 abstentions.

So the warped description of an "ugly head" here applies to the staunch moral defense of a steadfast ally like Israel as opposed to the appeasement of the Palestine leadership which historically supported every enemy the US has had from Hitler to Qaddafi?
Hitler predated the United Nations but no doubt it would have been a politicized "distortion of the UN charter" for some to exclude that German dictatorship from UNESCO considering just nine months ago Qaddafi's Libya sat on the UN Human Rights Council.
