In a speech from the White House last night, President Obama said the military had satisfied its mission in Afghanistan, and will begin withdrawing troops. Earlier in the week, we spoke with Christine Fair, Assistant Professor at the Center for Peace and Security Studies at Georgetown University, about the possibility that a troop withdrawal from Afghanistan would happen soon, and whether or not the Taliban is an enemy of the U.S.
