In honor of July 4th we’re talking with influential Americans all week about what patriotism and America means to them. We’re calling the series “My America.” Today’s guests have views on America that are informed as much by their work as journalists as by their personal lives.
Michiel Vos is a Dutch journalist and naturalized American citizen. He’s also the inspiration for a new HBO film, airing tonight, called “Citizen USA: A 50 State Road Trip.”
Alexandra Pelosi is married to Michiel and is the director of “Citizen USA.” Not incidentally, Alexandra is also the daughter of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Both join us from California.
