The portion of the show this morning that was about love songs made me feel like I was listening to a.m. radio.
The usual morning banter on your show does as well, and for that reason, I find the show hard to listen to, but this a.m. made me want to pull my hair out.
You're either playing to, or cultivating, a new audience, and I'm not sure that I mean that as a compliment.
A seldom listed love song that I adore is "Everlasting Love" by Howard Jones. The lyrics are perfect regarding my relationship to my husband, and we break into dance whenever we hear it-- most recently in line at the pharmacy!
The Beach Boys' "Wouldn't It Be Nice" is my ultimate love song.

Celeste,
You really can't talk about Love songs without mentioning Luther Vandross. Particularly the ballad "A House is not a Home" Check out the live version from the 1988 NAACP Image Awards!
Cheers
One of my favorite love songs is "More than Words" by Extreme. One of the best songs ever written.
