It is widely assumed that Texas Governor Rick Perry will soon announce plans to seek the Republican nomination for president. The governor's announcement may come this weekend, a week after his large prayer rally in Houston — which drew almost 30,000 attendants — where he prayed for divine intervention to the assist President Obama's judgement.
Peggy Fikac, Austin bureau chief for the San Antonio Express-News and the Houston Chronicle, has been following Perry's career for over 25 years since he was a Democrat in the Texas state house.

you soft pedaled Perry's speeches about secession. these southerner's seceeded once in our history, I believe they wanted to keep their slaves? I don't know what's more disgraceful: secession talk, no matter how political in nature, or two journalists being candy asses about it. no wonder this tea party business has gotten out of hand.
What has Perry done in Texas that's so great? It sounds like a house of cards waiting to fall.

Interesting how the evolving media narrative denies Rick Perry credit for economic success in Texas yet obfuscates blame to the President for economic failure in the nation.
Personally very repulsed by Perry's and Bachmann's mesmerizing-mega-church political agendas.
