The streets of Kabul were a battlefield this morning after 20 armed Taliban militants, some wearing suicide bombing vests, tried to storm the presidential palace and other government buildings.
Officers at the scene say the onslaught began with a suicide bomb attack near the palace where President Karzai was swearing in his new cabinet. BBC correspondent, Mark Dummett spoke to us from Kabul, where Taliban militants launched what is being called a "concerted attack" in the city-center earlier this morning.
