I disagree with Scott's assessment; NASCAR is certainly bigger in the United States but is not "worldwide." If anything IRL is worldwide...the first race of the 2010 season is in Sao Paolo, Brasil. IRL has races in Canada, the United States (including the biggest and most presitigous - the Indianapolis 500) and Japan; that's three continents. NASCAR's base is the Southeast US and other pockets around the US.
