US Says Stronger Sanctions Needed Against Iran

Following Iran's announcement that it’s stepping up its nuclear program, the United States and France said there's no alternative to strong new international sanctions against the country. 

U.S. defense secretary, Robert Gates, said Iran had rejected western overtures, and that a collective international will was needed to find a peaceful way to resolve the issue.  BBC Tehran correspondent, Jon Leyne brings us more on this news.
