The new Will Ferrell comedy “The Other Guys” is the top grossing movie in theaters right now, but it’s the movie credits that are getting an extraordinary bout of attention.
The film, about two New York cops who stumble upon a Bernie Madoff-style Ponzi scheme that could cost the city billions, does not have a clear message, but the credits clearly do.
They are a formatted like an animated Power Point presentation, with all kinds of jazzy line art and graphics, which tells the audience in a playful way about executive compensation, the cost of the TARP program and how much corruption on Wall Street has cost the taxpayer.
William Lebeda, Creative Director at Picture Mill, which produced the credits, talks to us about what inspired his team.
