Many have discussed the "branding" of President Obama, but the danger is that brands can get tarnished. We hear from Graham Button, creative designer for Genesis Inc. in Denver Colorado. He is one of the world's leading brand designers and explains what makes a "brand" so important. He tells us that he is impressed by the new Obama brand and why it is unique to the presidency.

I pretty much like Mr. Button's assessment, however feel he's a little off on the whole Tea Party front. If he hasn't noticed, there are a ton of younger than a baby boomer conservatives following this movement, if not in fact leading. Sarah Palin is in her mid to late 40's and I live in a rather conservative part of Massachusetts, minutes from Senator Scott Brown's district and there are tons of young conservatives present here, who propelled him into the Senate. I also know from my relatives across the United States in that same age group who were Bush supporters and are Fox Network junkies, (meaning getting little or no accurate facts), follow these Tea Party sentiments. The Boomers may be the organizing body of the Tea Partiers, however I will say, they have children and they are following in droves to the complaints of mom and dad and even grandparents. Button must be looking at an urban demographic and has made an erroneous calculation of the American political landscape. But we are HOPEful.
