Recently, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Mike Mullen said that the situation in Afghanistan was "deteriorating," but just yesterday, during a press conference at the Pentagon, Mullen said the U.S. would "regain the initiative."
To give us an idea of how turning the situation around might be possible, we turn to retired Air Force Colonel Sam Gardiner, who taught Military Strategy and Military Operations at the National War College.

It really goes to show just how much alike both Republican and Democratic parties are.
When it comes time to head to the polls I suggest that we throw out all incumbents and elect officials that will end the wars, slash the size of government and operate on a balanced budget. It is time to break up the two party system they have failed.
What the United States is doing to the people of Afghanistan is horrible and we must demand an end to this war now.
The next step in Afghanistan should be to stop the witch-hunt of Muslims, stop the slaughter of innocent women and children, spare our taxpayer dollars and spend them at home with their needed and stop the Crusade already!
