As a teacher of Public Speaking, Business Writing, ESL and Accent Reduction, I regularly introduce students to The Takeaway - because I feel that it is a model of refined oral communication skills in every way. We miss you already!

Finally I can rest. I have been wondering all these mornings when Adaora would be coming back. I have missed her and john together on the radio these last few months. The Takeaway always eases the pain of driving into work. All the best to Adaora's family. You will not regret spending time with Baby.

It is a challenging task to balance professional life with family one. You have shown to the TakeAway audience your gifts, talents, and wittiness.
Thanks for showing to the world that a Mom sacrifices even her professional career for her family's sake.

Blessings in your new endeavour.

You were a great co-host Adaora. I will miss you, but I'm sure that it is a better choice for the early years.

Hello Adaora, as a fellow self proclaimed "newsjunky" I really enjoyed your creation of the "takeaway". I wish you and your husband all the best with the baby. My wife and I are about to take the same journey next month with the adoption of a baby boy. We are both humbled by the task ahead of us. It is exciting to see you have started this journey. From what I see from afar your daughter has hit the jack pot.
All the best,
Darrick Peterkin

Hi there Adaora,

Yes, congratulation on the arrival of your wonderful new daughter. I agree with others when they say, we will miss you dearly, but you know what, we will have to put up with that. I also decided to make the raising of my children a priority. I'm also very proud to share with you that I have not regretted it. They are beautiful young people and do us pound. May you enjoy all the pleasures and treats she'll share with you. As they say "it's not how long, but how well." My husband and I really enjoyed listening to you.

Sincerely, Anana Kadri

Congratulations on your decision. I am confident you will come to believe it to be the best decision you ever made. Eighteen years ago, I worked as a supervisor in a high powered, high stress job that I loved. I worked full time up to the day before I gave birth to my daughter. My plan was to return after 3 months of leave. At 3 months, I extended to 6, at 6 months, to 1 year. At 1 year I resigned. Instead, I raised a strong, compassionate, loving and intelligent daughter. It doesn't get any better. I will miss you terribly on the air, but I am so proud that you have the confidence to make the choice that you did. Your daughter is a very lucky girl.

We'll miss you, Mom,

And that's no maybe,

But first things first

And that means Baby.

Best of luck to the entire family.

Adaora was a wonderful host for The Takeaway, John and Adaora had wonderful on air chemistry. I am sad to hear of her leaving the show and wish her the best. I hope that John and the producers can find another wonderful host to bring new and different topics and incites to the show.
