I am constantly amazed at how the CLIENTS of Bernie Madoff who come on different shows bemoaning their plight, never questioned the enormous interest returns on their money at a time when we all were getting 2-3% on our investments. Then they quietly and greedily sucked it all in.
From listening to peoples opinions on Bernie there is one thing that comes to mind. People care more about money than people. The listeners want the harshest judgement for him but the same does not happen with indivduals who kill one another. I think this just shows were our priorities are. It is a sad reflection on our society. No one questions the people who invested knowing that their profits were unrealistic and making a fortune themselves. In the end alot of very greedy people who were not happy with having millions wanted more.
he should get a day in sing sing for every dollar.
