Afghanistan: How Is the War Going?

To assess the state of the war in Afghanistan, The Takeaway talks with Stephen Biddle, a counterinsurgency expert and senior fellow for defense policy at the Council on Foreign Relations. He was tasked by General Stanley McChrystal to visit Afghanistan (along with about a dozen other independent analysts) to assess the current state of the war. He spent a month there, and returned last week.
